McCoy Miller started manufacturing ambulances and light rescue vehicles in 1974 when its owners, Dick McCoy and Lester Miller ventured into the ambulance industry.
In November 1998, Morganthaler Ventures purchased McCoy Miller.
On May 27, 2005, the assets of McCoy Miller were bought by Chris Graff. Under Chris Graff, the SJC Industries name was established.
In March of 2010, Thor Industries, the world's largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles and major builder of commercial buses, purchased SJC Industries from Chris Graff. Thor felt the ambulance business was a natural fit with their bus and RV businesses. Their intent was for SJC to continue in their independent operation, similar in the manner as the recreation vehicle and bus companies.
In May of 2013, McCoy Miller was purchased and is now a brand under ASV. It’s new location is in Winter Park, Florida. Although McCoy Miller has had different owners, the underlying focus has remained the same: quality vehicles at an affordable price.
